Jeremy Sumpter:
Hi everyone, thanks for coming to the chat

Actors Domain:
Hey Jeremy! Glad that you made it in tonight! Lots of people are here, ready to ask their questions!Jeremy Sumpter

Actors Domain:

How have things been going for you lately?

Jeremy Sumpter:

Things are going pretty good. I'm getting better at golf, I'm surfing a lot. I had my 18th birthday...

Jeremy Sumpter:

and I reading a lot of scripts

Actors Domain:

Nearly done with the teenage years :) Now that people are submitting their questions, let me find a good one to start off with.

Actors Domain:

If you haven't submitted your question, you can do so now, or wait a few minutes!

SHAEJ:
How was the experience of CSI? Are in project others episodes with your presence?

Jeremy Sumpter:

CSI: Miami was fun because I got to play a bad guy, and I got to drive a motorcycle

Jeremy Sumpter:

I'm only doing one episode

Jeremy Sumpter:

The show is really well organized and I saw a lot of people I knew from previous productions

TiffAny:
Hi Jeremy! Among all the characters you have played, which one is most like you?

Jeremy Sumpter:

Hi TiffAny, the character most like me was probably Pete from Clubhouse because I still play a lot of baseball. I put a lot of me in Peter Pan but I'm not as much like Peter any longer.

Squisherific:
How would you describe your character Gavin from the Sasquatch Dumpling Gang, and do you think you have anything in common with your character?

Jeremy Sumpter:

Gavin is a total nerd probably not as much like me, he's the most interesting character I've played since he's least like me so it made it harder to play. Good question Squisherific

Jeremy Sumpter:

that didn't come out quite right but I think you got the idea

Amanda:
Hi Jeremy this is Amanda, If you were not an actor would you attend college next year? If so what would you choose as a major?

Jeremy Sumpter:

Hi Amanda, it's hard to say since I'm not going to attend college anytime soon since I am concentrating on my acting career. If I weren't an actor I would be a director and go to college
for that

Bonnie:
What are some personal and/or career-oriented changes that you've noticed in yourself from the beginning of your career until now?

Jeremy Sumpter:

Hey Bonnie, I think I'm pretty much the same guy I was when I came out to LA from Kentucky in 2000. There are some changes since people come up to me all the time to talk to me, but I think I'm just the same old country boy I always was.

Sofia:
Hi, Jeremy. You played a great nerd in Sasquatch Dumpling Gang! Is there anything geeky about you in real life?

Jeremy Sumpter:

Thanks Sofia. Like I said earlier, I am really nothing like Gavin. I can't think of anything that I do that is geeky.

fee{SANNAH9:
hey jeremy i am sannah :) i am 9:) And i want to know what music you listen to ??? ^_^

Jeremy Sumpter:

I still listen to classic rock, sannah. My favorites are still Boston, the Rolling Stones and a new band I like is the Fray.

rosie0440:
You said you were getting better at golf, what is your best score ever?

Jeremy Sumpter:

Hey rosie, my best score so far is 75. I usually average 80 or 81. My longest drive is 360 yards, although my average drive is 290.

golfer258:
Hi~ I hope all is well :) What is your favorite golf course you have golfed in? Happy Belated Birthday Mr. 18 year old- you

Jeremy Sumpter:

Hey golfer, do you know Old Silo in my hometown of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky? That's my favorite course. It's a great course and not very expensive.

Merielle:
Since you like to golf, as do i, are you planning to attend the nissan open for finals? since the event is pretty close by BTW Happy Belated Birthday to you and your sister! <3

Jeremy Sumpter:

Thanks for the birthday wishes, Merielle. Jessy and I had separate parties for our birthday. She went up to Monterey while I had friends over for dinner. Unfortunately I won't be going to
the Nissan Open though it would be a blast if I could.

David:
Hey Jeremy, Happy birthday to u and ur Sister i hope it waz a Good one, so Wat did u Get for ur birthday.

Jeremy Sumpter:

Hey David, I got new laptop which was cool, a shirt and a few other things.

rosie0440:
Do you think you will be getting your own place any time soon?

Jeremy Sumpter:

Not right away. I'll probably stay home another year. I'm remodeling my room.

Marisa:
Describe your character in CSI:Miami?

Jeremy Sumpter:

Hi Marisa, my character is a bad boy who is a womanizer. There are a couple of murders...it's CSI, you have to expect that. I'm looking forward to see it on Monday.

Squisherific:
An American Crime definitely sounds like a pretty heavy movie. Did you read anything further about Sylvia Likens, aside from the script for the film, and how did her story affect you?

Jeremy Sumpter:

I researched Coy somewhat. Reading the script really gave me a lot of information on her sad story. It was not an easy script to read and will be a difficult movie to watch but I am hoping
that it opens eyes to child abuse that still goes on today.

Kassie:
What attracted you to the part of coy Hubbard in An American Crime?

Jeremy Sumpter:

Hey Kassie, Coy was one of the bad boys who thought he was cool by smoking, etc. After playing Pete in Clubhouse and Gavin in Sasquatch, I wanted to try something different.

Lissa:
Hey there, Jeremy! What was it like working with Ellen Page on An American Crime ?

Jeremy Sumpter:

Hey Lissa, working with Ellen was great. She is an amazing actress. If you watch her in Hard Candy, you'll see what a brilliant actress she is.

Marissa:
Got any exciting plans for Spring Break?

Jeremy Sumpter:

I don't have any definite plans, but I wouldn't mind going back to Hawaii. There is some great surfing there.

Squisherific:
Name your dream role. What kind of film would you most like to be a part of right now?

Jeremy Sumpter:

I would like to do a big action movie or maybe do a horror film.

Kayla21089:
Hi Jeremy...Does being an actor ever get so stressful, you feel like quitting?

Jeremy Sumpter:
Hey Kayla, it does get stressful, the hours are terrible, but I would never quit. It's just too much fun.

Pete:
What's the best thing about being 18?...for me it's the way my parents don't treat me as a kid anymore!

Jeremy Sumpter:
Hey Petra, being 18 means I don't need my parent's permission to go out. It's good to have a little more responsibility.

ArwenRivendell:
Jeremy, we met at premier of The Binge, if there was one thing you could do to bring hope to the others, what would it be?

Jeremy Sumpter:

Glad you could come to the screening. I'm excited to be working with a new charity called One Village, One World where a group of people adopt a village in Africa. I'm looking forward to
possibly going to Africa sometime this year. We'll have more details about the charity and what you can do to help on the web site soon.

Squisherific:
Can you describe your favorite scene from the "Sasquatch Dumpling Gang"?

Jeremy Sumpter:

Its hard to describe if you haven't scene it, but there is one scene where Hobie is writing in his diary about what he is going to do. It's really funny.

peter_pan1994:
Hi Jeremy, did you like Australia, do you think you will ever come back....which state would you like to go to in Australia?

Jeremy Sumpter:

Australia is great. I was there for 11 months and really loved it. I liked Surfer's Paradise where we stayed during the filming of Peter Pan. There are an awful lot of geckos in Queensland
though!

Ryan:
If you had a choice to work on any new major productions, which would you most like to work on? would you prefer to be a bad guy in a movie, or are you more of a relaxed, none-action type of guy who would prefer to be considered the hero of the movie? :P

Jeremy Sumpter:
Hi Ryan, playing the bad guy is really much more fun than being the hero but I like to play a variety of roles. It gets boring to play the same kind of character over and over.

Veera:
Hey Jeremy! What is the movie you would have liked to be in? And if you were a director, who would you choose to act in your movie (if it's possible to choose)? Happy belated birthday!:)

Jeremy Sumpter:

Thanks Veera, I would have liked to be in Spiderman 3 or something like Ghostrider. If I was directing a movie, I would like to work with Scarlett Johanson, Jessica Alba or Tom Hanks.
