Hello Jeremy! How do you handle playing a younger character on Friday Night Lights with your age being 20 and J.D.'s being 15?

Jeremy Sumpter
It's a fun role to play since he is like me in a lot of ways but he's not like me in a lot of ways. When you are an actor, you are used to playing characters of different ages.

Hi Jeremy When you are on the set, can you contribute your own ideas to the film? Thank you and greetings from Germany.

It depends on the director. On Peter Pan I had some ideas that PJ used and they worked out well. I've also had a lot of input on Death & Cremation. Many directors will listen to ideas from their actors, although each director has their own vision for the film.

I loved "The Giver" but I'm way too old to play that role. I can't really think of anything else right now.

I pretty much eat all kinds of sushi but especially like spicy tuna rolls.

I've kept one piece from most of the movies I have done but not all. I have a Peter Pan costume, most of the stuff from Sasquatch and most of the stuff from Death & Cremation.

I think it would be interesting if he became more of a bad guy this year.

Hello from Kuwait. It's not difficult playing different characters because I'm usually only doing one at a time and can focus on that role.

I think getting up early to go to work, getting to the set and watching all of the crew set up the shots is really fun.

I love going to Hawaii to surf so that would probably be the place. I also like London at Christmas time, or Tokyo anytime. I've been lucky to visit a lot of interesting places.

I love Melbourne and went there with PJ before we shot Peter Pan. I think it's always more fun to play the bad guy.

It's hard for me to pick one thing but I am very fortunate that I have my family and friends supporting me. I've also worked with some wonderful people like PJ Hogan and Rachel.

I think the ones I did with Rachel during Peter Pan since we were having so much fun and were such good friends. There was an interview for Good Day LA I think that turned out kind of silly.

I didn't really do anything special, they just sort of slipped away.

I would love to play a vampire. I think that would be a lot of fun.

It was the biggest thing that ever happened to me up to that time. I couldn't tell anyone so only my family and manager and agent knew that I had gotten it. Not being able to talk about it was the hardest part.

When you are an actor you get used to being put in embarrassing situations like being 13 and having to kiss Rachel in front of 150 people who were watching your every move.

I was writing a short film about a dog but have to put it on hold now that FNL is starting up again.

Jeremy, greetings from Indiana. it is great to see you on here live. I was wondering if you were able to keep your knife, flute, and any swords you used in Peter Pan?

Jeremy Sumpter
I have my knife and a couple of swords from Peter Pan. There were several versions of swords, some were rubber, some were metal depending on what the scene called for.

Have you ever auditioned for a great part in a movie and not gotten it? Also how did your family react when you first told them about the first major role you've done?

Jeremy Sumpter
All actors have auditioned for roles that they didn't get. I'm trying to think of one but can't at the moment. My family was really excited when I booked Frailty.

There was a scene in Peter Pan where I flew off into the sky at the end of the movie. It was a lot of fun shooting that scene. Being on wires was really amazing.

Jeremy, how often do you watch the movies you acted in?

Usually I'll go to the premiere and see it then if there is one. Otherwise I may watch it once unless I have someone over who wants to watch one of them.

Do you find it hard having a personal life while working on so many films?

On Peter Pan I worked long hours six days a week so I was pretty tired by the end of filming. Usually I will try and take a vacation in between movies to recharge.

What's the weirdest thing a fan has done for you?

Most of my fans have done really nice things for me or sent me nice things. I especially like the things that my fans in Japan have sent. One of my fans sent an inappropriate picture of themself. It wasn't a pretty sight.

I've heard you play guitar. Have you played any other instrument before, or do you have any you'd like to try?

I just play guitar for fun. I've really done more sports than playing musical instruments. I'd like to become really good with the guitar.

Hi, what is the most silly thing that you've heard or seen about you? Big hug from Mexico.

The most absurd thing I heard was that someone had said that Daniel Radcliffe and I were fighting over a girl. When I met Dan on the set of Harry Potter, he was really a great guy. It wouldn't make sense for me to have a girlfriend in London anyway since it is so far away. I think one of the UK magazines tried to stir up things by asking who would win a fight between Peter Pan and Harry Potter and then people took that as Dan and I having a fight. All of the Harry Potter kids are really nice.

Since I'm always so busy, I usually have to eat out. So I don't do much cooking at home.

Yes, I played on a soccer team when I lived in Kentucky. My sister Jessy and I were the best players on the team. I'd love to come to the Netherlands sometime!

What was it like wearing goth makeup and coloring your hair black for Death and Cremation? Was it really weird, or did you have a lot of fun with it?

It was a lot of fun playing a character like that since he was so unlike me. The fun part was meeting people I knew and them being kind of shocked about how I looked.

Say I was going to write you a letter. What world you like to read? Like..I no it must be a pain to keep having mail/letters saying how much the fans love you.. Instead of that, what would you like to read ?????

I get a lot of letters from people all over the world and they usually write about themselves and their hometown and that's interesting. I can't think of anything specific that I would like to read. I think it's more just writing what you feel like writing.

Hi Jeremy, I always wondered, on films like Peter Pan you always must have had lots of makeup on to show dirt and stuff. How do they put this all on/take it off and is it annoying having to do it every day on the film?

Jeremy Sumpter
They have makeup artists who put it on first thing in the morning and then are on the set for touchups. Then at the end of the day, they take all of it off. It's just part of the job.

How do you think Peter Pan the book compared to your movie and the animated version? What were your favorite quotes?

It's obviously easier to do an animated version then live action. I think that the movie came out well. There are too many good quotes to name.

I think you have a great grin that could light anyone's day up. And speaking of grinning, I read in a Peter Pan interview that Rachel Hurd-Wood said they played a prank on you by tickling your feet while you were in a flying harness during a scene! Lol, is this true and did you play any pranks to get them back?

There were a lot of pranks played on Peter Pan. Sometimes during a long filming session you need something to break the tension and that usually does it. Yes, they tickled my feet and did silly things like that.
